Frame and Wheel is auctioning a Mavic CXP 22 wheel set on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The wheel set is from an independent bicycle dealer’s inventory of wheels. The wheels were parted out from a new bicycle. They have never been used. They have been in storage. The IBD is selling the wheels because they are not needed. The wheels feature Mavic CXP 22 alloy clincher rims, Felt hubs, Felt skewers, 32 (F) / 32 (R) spoke count, 21 mm rim depth, 20 mm rim width, aluminum alloy straight gauge spokes and Percheron sized strength and durability. The wheel set as shown weighs 4 pound 11 ounces (2.1 kg). The wheels are in good condition. They are clean and ready to ride. The spokes are tight and straight. The wheels are true and show less than 0.5 mm of lateral variation when placed in a truing stand. There is no wear on the braking surfaces of the rim. There are no dents or bends in the rims. There are no notches on the free hub body. There are no cracks in the hub shell. There are no cracks in the flanges of the hub. There is no corrosion on the nipples or on the hubs. There is no play in the hubs. The rim tape is not damaged. The skewers are straight and working properly. Frame and Wheel notes the following. The rear hub does not spin freely and will benefit from expert servicing. The rear wheel has vertical variation (a hop) of less than 0.5 mm when placed in a truing stand. There is a 2 mm x 6 mm abrasion on the braking surface of the drive side rim. there is a 4 mm x 22 mm abrasion on the braking surface of the front rim. An excellent set of wheels for the Percheron category cyclist or for use on the cyclocross circuit.
