Frame and Wheel is auctioning a Merckx EMX-525 frame set on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The frame set was purchased new in 2013. The owner decided that it was not the right frame set for him and thus he is selling it. It was never built up. It has been in storage. It has had only one owner. The frame set features integrated Merckx Aerofork II full carbon front fork, Merckx full carbon seat post, BB86 bottom bracket, FSA headset, bolt on front derailleur hanger and Merckx alloy seat collar. The frame features electronic specific cable routing, horizontal top tube, oversized down tube, tapered head tube (1 1/8 inch to 1 1/2 inch), oversized asymmetric chain stays, twin seat stays with carbon bridge, replaceable rear derailleur hanger, stealth bomber lines  and black white finish. The frame set as shown weighs 4 pounds 7 ounces (2.0 kg). The frame serial number reads MAEM6-17277-C-54. the fork serial number reads MAEM6-17426-C-XX 17277. Review of condition

The frame set scores a 99 percent on the Frame and Wheel Rating System. It is in excellent condition. It is clean and ready for build. There is no road wear anywhere on the frame set. There are no cracks, bulges, discolorations, flexing or flaking that raise concerns about the structural integrity of the frame. The rear triangle is in alignment with the centerline of the frame. The rear derailleur hanger is straight and undamaged. The front derailleur hanger is undamaged and securely bolted to the seat tube. The top tube cable stops are unobstructed and undamaged. The wiring openings on the top tube, bottom bracket and chain stay are not damaged or obstructed. There is no corrosion in the water bottle bolt holes. There is no corrosion in the battery mount bolts. The bottom bracket shell is not damaged. There are no cracks, bulges, discoloration, flexing or flaking that raise concerns about the structural integrity of the front fork. The crown race is not damaged. The cartridge bearings are not corroded. The cartridge bearings turn smoothly. The head set is complete. The seat clamp works properly. Frame and Wheel notes the following. There is a 3 mm x 5 mm imperfection in the finish on the surface of the non drive side seat stay near the drop out. It was used about five times and has less than 100 miles of use. It has never been crashed. It has been in storage for the past two years. The owner is selling it because it is no longer needed. The wheel features toroidal rim, ABLC dimpled surface, 24 mm rim width, Zipp 182 disc hub, Rolf stainless steel skewer, Shimano 10 speed free hub body, double sided valve opening and Sub 9 aero cool. There is a is a 4 mm x 4 mm abrasion on one of the drive side Zipp stickers. There is a light layer of glue on the rim. The free hub body shows light wear from a cassette.
