Frame and Wheel is auctioning a Shimano Hollowtech II Ultegra FC-6600 39/53 crank set (170 mm arms) on the Frame and Wheel eBay store. The crank set was switched out of a road bike and has been in storage. The chain rings rings were replaced about one year ago. The owner is selling the crank set because he no longer has a use for them. The crank set is in good condition. It is clean and there is no corrosion. All the chain ring bolts are included. The holes for the pedals are not corroded or stripped. The chain ring teeth are not worn or chipped and the chain rings are not bent. The bolts on the left crank are original and include washers and not corroded. The splines on the spindle are not stripped and the spindle is straight. Frame and Wheel notes the following. There is light wear on the lower outside section of the drive and non drive side crank arm from a shoe cover. Crank arm fixing bolt and ring included. Plate for non-drive crank arm not included. Frame and Wheel is auctioning a pair of Shimano Sora ST-3300 / ST-3304 brake shifters on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The shifters were removed from a road bike in 2008 and have been in storage ever since. The owner is the original owner and he is selling them because he no longer has a use for them. The shifters have never been crashed. The left shifter (ST-3304) is suited for a triple crank set. The right shifter can be connected to Shimano's integrated Flight Deck road computer. The shifters are in good condition. They are clean and they work properly. The hoods are fresh and have no rips. There are no abrasions on the levers and there is no corrosion. Frame and Wheel notes that there is a 2 x 20 mm abrasion on the top of the left and right shifter perhaps from when the bicycle was turned upside down for maintenance. The item is being sold as is.  A perfectly fine pair of shifters that will go very well as an upgrade on a recreational bicycle.

Frame and Wheel is auctioning a Trico Sports Iron Case travel bike box on the Frame and Wheel eBay store.This travel box belonged to a third party who used it until it was lost by an airline. The airline purchased a new travel case for the third party. Months later the original case (the case being auctioned) reappeared. The third party gave it to the current owner. The current owner used it twice and is now selling it. The case  features durable Triconium construction, three thick layers of foam, a leash and two original design travel skewers. The case is designed to meet airline and freight dimension requirements. The case shows normal wear and tear but it is clean and in good condition. The shell is not crushed, cracked or broken. The straps are not frayed. The buckles snap into place and can be adjusted preoperly. The foam pads are not excessively dirty or torn. The two wheels roll properly. Frame and Wheel notes the following. The buckle at the bottom right rear of the case does not work and has been taped up. This makes it difficult to remove the upper shell completely from the lower shell. There is corrosion on bolts. A rubber footing is missing. There are abrasions on the edges of the case. The case is being sold as is. A great opportunity to obtain a very useful and sturdy travel case at a great valuation.

Frame and Wheel is auctioning a 2010 Parlee TT ML carbon time trial frame set on the Frame and Wheel eBay store. The frame was obtained new directly from Parlee Cycles under the manufacturer’s warranty program in March 2011 (The previous frame had problems with the clear coat finish). The Edge Composites front fork and Parlee aero seat post are from the original frame set which was purchased new directly from Parlee in early 2009. The seat post and the front fork thus have two seasons of racing and training use (2009 and 2010). During the 2011 season, the reconstituted frame set (the new frame and original seat post and front fork) was used indoors on a trainer, outdoors for fair weather training rides, and raced in five time trials. It has never been crashed. The frame set has always been stored indoors and it has always been transported inside a car. The owner is a masters category cyclist who is selling the frame set because he is training and racing less and he no longer has a need for a high performance time trial bike. The frame set has not had a previous owner and it has been professionally maintained at Bikes and Java in Rockland, Maine. The frame set has been unused and in storage for the past few months. The frame set is Parlee’s “stock” time trial frame set and features aero seat stays, an aero seven position adjustable seat post, a cutaway seat tube, a TRP rear brake that is mounted under the chain stays, internal cabling on the down tube, Di2 compatibility, horizontal rear carbon drop outs, Edge Composite front fork, a new Edge expander bolt and two spares and the new alloy double bolt seat clamp. The frame set as shown weighs 2.19 kg (4 pounds 14 ounces). The serial number on the non-drive seat stay of the frame reads PCZ10KT5S40530069. The serial number on the steer tube of the front fork reads FF022.OA01.11-0179. Spare Edge expander bolt included. Review of condition
The frameset is in very good condition and shows only light and imperceptible signs of wear. It is clean and there are no cracks, bulges, flaking or scratches in the finish of the frame. There is no wear on the bottom of the down tube, on the back of the seat tube, on the insides of the chain stays or under the crown of the front fork. There is no corrosion in the seat post and water bottle bolts or bolt holes. The front and rear forks are in alignment with the the centerline of the frame and the rear derailleur hanger is straight and undamaged. The front derailleur hanger is riveted securely to the seat post and undamaged. The threads of the bottom bracket have no corrosion and are not stripped. The rear brake works properly and there is 4 mm of pad remaining on the wear indicators. The headset cartridge bearings move smoothly and quietly. The front fork has safety tabs. The race is mounted securely on the front fork and the headset is complete. 
Frame and Wheel notes the following. There is a 1 x 4 mm abrasion on the leading edge of the left front fork blade. There is a 1 x 10 mm abrasion on the outward facing side of the drive-side chain stay near the rear derailleur hanger. There is a 5 x 60 mm light abrasion on the outward facing side of the drive-side chain stay between the cable stops. The upper cover of the head set shows wear and there is a 1 x 5 mm chip on it. There are scratches between 2 to 10 mm in length on the drive-side brake arm. There is wear around the drop outs and around the front brake mounting bolt hole. There is some corrosion around the front fork race. There is wear on the lower half of the seat post. There is corrosion around the cap of the two spare expander bolts. There is a constellation of imperfections less than half a millimeter in size in the finish on the top outward facing side of the non-drive side seat stay. Frame and Wheel carefully inspected this frame, but cannot guarantee that every imperfection has been spotted.
Frame and Wheel conclusion
Frame and Wheel’s view is that this is a very nice and very lightly used time trial frame set that will suit the dedicated time trial cyclist or triathlete. This frame set built up with a Dura Ace or SRAM Red group, and set up with a disc rear wheel and a deep dish front wheel, will be very fast. Indeed, the frame’s weight at 1.450 kg is lighter than the very flash and expensive Cervelo P4 frame (1.540 kg with caliper). Frame and Wheel is impressed with the quality of the workmanship on this frame set and the details that make all the difference: multiple adjustment seat post and seat clamp, internal cable routing, Di2 compatibility. This is a rare and excellent opportunity to obtain a high performance, lightly used, boutique brand time trial frame set a valuation that will inspire hard training and frequent racing, and leave some cash left over for wheels, components or other essential accessories. Frame and Wheel is auctioning a 2008 Lemond Poprad Disc steel cyclocross bicycle (size 55 cm) on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The bicycle was purchased new at Cape Able Bike Shop in Kennebunkport, Maine in 2007. It was raced twice in 2008 and then used for off season training. It has never been crashed. The bicycle has been unridden for the past few years and has been stored in a basement. It has had only one owner. The owner is selling it because he does not ride it anymore. The bicycle features Avid BB7 disc brakes (non hydraulic), a Bontrager Satellite Elite carbon fiber front fork, Bontrager Select Disc 24 spoke wheels and the following upgrades: Ritchey Mountain Pro stem (90 mm), Selle San Marco saddle, and FSA Gossamer 46T/36T (170 mm arms) crank set. The bicycle as shown weighs 22 pounds 12 ounces. The serial number on the bottom of the down tube reads WL3510280. No pedals or water bottle cages included. Review of condition
The bicycle is in good condition. It is clean and ready to ride. The derailleur hanger is straight and the front and rear forks are in alignment with the center line of the frame. The handlebars are not bent and the handle bar tape is fresh. The finish of the frame is bright and the stickers are not peeling off. There is no wear on the bottom of the down tube, on the back of the seat tube or under the crown of the front fork. The shifting is smooth and complete and there are no cracks in the cable housing. The brakes work well and the braking surfaces of the rotors show light wear. The wheels are true and round and the spokes are straight and tight. The treads are fresh and there are no rips in the sidewalls. The hubs spin smoothly and the pawls are quiet. The splines on the freewheel hub body are not heavily notched. There is no play in the bottom bracket. The chain does not read 0.75 or 1.0 on the chain wear tool.
Frame and Wheel notes the following. There are two 5 x 5 mm bulges in the finish on the underside of the drive side chain stay. There are similar but smaller bulges in the finish on the underside of the non-drive chain stay. The seat post is very difficult to install, adjust and to remove. There are two chips in the finish on the non-drive side of the down tube (one is 2 x 10 mm and the other is 3 x 3 mm in size). There is a 5 x 5 mm chip on the non-drive side of the head tube. There are abrasions on the tops of the dual shifters. here is a scratch on the end of the drive-side crank arm. There is corrosion in or on the following locations: the chain, the cable fixing bolts on the brakes, the bolts on the brake rotors, the chain ring bolts, the metal pads in the brake calipers, the bolts on the down tube boss, the water bottle cage bolts, the quick release skewers, the surfaces of the chain rings, the surfaces of the rear cassette cogs, the nipples of the spokes and the inner tube valves. Frame and Wheel carefully inspected this bicycle, but cannot guarantee that every imperfection has been spotted.
Frame and Wheel conclusion
Frame and Wheel’s view is that this bicycle will make an excellent entry level cyclocross bicycle. It will also do very well as an all weather commuter bicycle. The steel frame and carbon front fork promise a smooth ride and the disc brakes are very effective in wet or muddy conditions. Frame and Wheel points out that Lemond bicycles are no longer in production and that the Lemond Poprad Disc was only in production for a single year. This means that this bicycle is on its way to becoming a unique and classic bike. Mr. Lemond would approve and so will you.

Frame and Wheel is auctioning a 2008 HED Jet 9 C2 clincher rear wheel on the Frame and Wheel eBay store. The owner of this wheel purchased it new directly from HED in 2008. He rode it once in a time trial and it has been in storage ever since. The wheel has never been crashed. The owner is selling this wheel because he is trying to reduce the amount of unused cycling equipment he owns. The wheel features the new 23 mm wide C2 alloy rim and a 90 mm deep carbon aero fairing that is bonded to the rim. The wheel weighs 2 pounds 6 ounces (1.06 kg). The serial number reads R50-24H-01742 and the product ID reads JETS 0808-056. Shimano/SRAM freehub body. No skewer or valve extender included. Bontrager wheel bag is included. HED notes that JET wheels are suitable for rider weighing less than 190 pounds. The wheel is being sold as is.
Review of condition
The wheel is is in very good condition. It is clean and there are no cracks, dents or scratches in the alloy rim and there are no dents or cracks in the carbon fairing. The stickers are clean and adhere properly. The bearings are smooth and the wheel spins freely, quietly and smoothly. The wheel is round and true and the spokes are tight and straight. Frame and Wheel notes the following. There are some light abrasions on the splines from a freewheel. The braking surface shows very light wear. The pawls are a bit loud. There is a 25 x 5 mm blemish on the non-drive side of the rim. The base tape should be replaced.

Frame and Wheel’s view is that this wheel is in very good condition and still full of many hours of riding either on a road bike or a time trial bike. The wide rim and the deep dish fairing clearly make this wheel very aerodynamic.
