Frame and Wheel is auctioning a Rocky Mountain touring frame set on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The frame set was purchased new from a third party in 2012. The owner never built up the frame set. It has been in storage. The owner is selling it because it is too big. The frame set features aluminum alloy construction, sloping top tube geometry, ovalized down tube, oversized seat and chain stays, off set chain stay top tube junction, center pull cantilever brake mounts, integrated head set (1 1/8 inch steer tube), aluminum alloy front fork with center pull cantilever brake mounts, RMB 100 mm alloy stem, English thread bottom bracket, braze-ons for bag carriers, three water bottle cage mounts, external cable routing, durable design and subtle olive drab finish. Review of condition
The frame set is in very good condition. It is clean and ready for build. There are no dents, bends or bulges that raise concerns about the structural integrity of the frame. The rear triangle is in alignment with the centerline of the frame to within 3.0 mm (less than the width of two pennies). The rear derailleur hanger is straight and undamaged. There is no road wear on the bottom of the down tube, the back of the seat tube or the inside of the chain stays. There is no wear from a front derailleur clamp. The cable stops on the top tube and the seat stay are undamaged and clear of obstructions. The brake mounts on the seat stays are straight and undamaged. The bottom bracket is not damaged. The bottom bracket threads are not stripped or corroded. There is no corrosion in the water bottle bolt holes. There are no cracks, bulges, discoloration or flaking that raise concerns about the structural integrity of the front fork. The brake mounts on the fork blades are straight and undamaged. The crown race is securely fixed to the front fork. The crown race is not pitted or corroded. The headset bearings are not corroded. The head set turns smoothly and the headset is complete. The stickers are not peeling off. The head tube badge is mounted securely. Frame and Wheel notes the following.
