Frame and Wheel is auctioning an Origin8 Speed Pro wheel set on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The owner won the wheels at a bike race in late 2011. They have never been used. They have been in storage. The owner is selling them because they are not needed. The wheels feature Campagnolo free hub body, Origin8 Speed Pro alloy clincher rims, Origin8 front and rear hubs, 26 mm rim depth, 20 mm rim width, 20 (F) / 20 (R) spoke count, Origin8 stainless steel skewers, distinctive white bladed spokes and light weight. The wheels as shown weigh 3 pounds 6 ounces (1.52 kg). Origin8 is the house brand of J&B Bicycle Importers. Campagnolo free hub body! Origin8 base tape included. Original box included. Review of condition
The wheels are in excellent condition. They are clean and they are ready to ride. The hubs spin smoothly and freely. The spokes are tight and straight. The rims are round and the wheels are true. There is no lateral or vertical variation in the rims when placed in a truing stand. The braking surfaces of the rims show no wear. There are no cracks in the hub bodies. There is no play in the hubs. There are no cracks in the flanges of the hubs. There is no corrosion on the spokes or on the skewers. The skewers are straight and complete and show no wear. The stickers are not peeling off. Frame and Wheel notes the following. There is a 4 mm x 4 mm finish imperfection on the rim wall of the front wheel. There is a 5 mm x 10 mm finish imperfection on the non drive side braking surface of the rear rim. Frame and Wheel highlights that the hub is designed for the Campagnolo free hub body. J&B Importers does not recommend switching the Campagnolo free hub body for a Shimano / SRAM free hub bod. It will likely shorten the longevity of the hub.

Frame and Wheel’s view is that this Origin8 Speed Pro wheel set will make a fine choice for the road cyclist who seeks a practical and light pair of alloy clincher wheels for training, and who prefers and is set up for Campagnolo components. The wheels have never been used and they are in excellent condition. The new owner will relish the bladed spokes and appreciate the versatility of these wheels, and may find that they become a primary wheel set.
