Frame and Wheel is auctioning a 2010 Jamis Xenith T2 time trial frame set on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The frame set is owned by professional ironman triathlete, Raymond Bothelo. Mr. Bothelo obtained the frame set new from Jamis in a partial sponsorship arrangement in 2010. He is the only owner. It was built up by Bike Zone in Hyannisport, Massachusetts. The bike was used for training and racing in 2010 and 2011 (approximately 10,000 miles). The frame set was never crashed. Mr. Bothelo stopped riding the bike in June 2012. It has been in storage since then. Mr. Bothelo is selling the frame set because he has new sponsors. Mr. Bothelo is 6 feet 2 inches tall with an inseam of 33 inches. The frame set features Jamis Windshield carbon front fork with rear-facing enclosed front brake, Jamis carbon aero seat post, integrated head set and Tektro R725 brake set. The frame features full carbon construction, BB 30 bottom bracket, chain stay rear-mounted brake, aero down tube, seat tube and seat stays, flat-oval top tube, allen bolt front derailleur hanger and a black red white finish. The frame set as shown weighs 6 pounds 1 ounces (2.7 kg). The serial number on the frame reads E19IO4F0009. The serial number on the front fork reads E19IO4K0056. Review of condition
The frame set is in good condition. It is clean and ready for build. There are no cracks, bulges, discolorations, flexing or flaking that raise concerns about the structural integrity of the frame. The rear triangle aligns with the centerline of the frame to within 4.5 mm (the width of three pennies). The rear derailleur hanger is straight and undamaged. The axle position bolts are not damaged or corroded. The cable stops on the bottom of the bottom bracket are riveted securely and clear of obstructions. There is no corrosion in the water bottle bolt holes. The bottom bracket shell is not damaged. The bottom bracket cartridges turn smoothly. There are no cracks, bulges, discoloration, flexing or flaking that raise concerns about the structural integrity of the front fork. The crown race is secured firmly and undamaged. The head set cartridge bearings are not corroded or damaged. The head set cartridge bearings turn smoothly and the head set is complete. There are no cracks, bulges, discoloration, flexing or flaking that raise concerns about the structural integrity of the seat post. The seat collar clamp works properly. The seat clamp works properly and is complete. The chain stay protector is not peeling off.

Frame and Wheel notes the following. There is a 10 mm x 10 mm abrasion on the inside face of the non drive-side chain stay from a rubbing wheel. There is a 4 mm x 8 mm abrasion in the finish on the outside face of the non drive-side chain stay near the word “system”. There is a 10 mm x 10 mm area of abrasion on the inside face of the drive side chain stay from a rubbing wheel. There is a 5 mm x 80 mm area of abrasion on the inside face of the drive side chain stay from the chain. There is a 10 mm x 10 mm area of abrasion near the drive side bottom bracket from putty used to mount a power meter magnet. There are two 2 mm x 2 mm chips in the finish on the out side face of the drive side chain stay. There is a 5 mm x 5 mm abrasion on the bottom of the down tube. There is a 3 mm x 3 mm abrasion near it. There is a 2 mm x 25 mm abrasion on the “a” in Jamis on the non drive side down tube. There is wear around the cable openings on the top tube. There is wear around the drop outs. There is a 1 mm x 20 mm scratch on the drive side head tube. 

Frame and Wheel conclusion
Frame and Wheel’s view is that this Jamis Xenith T2 will make an excellent choice for the dedicated triathlete or road cyclist who is ready to upgrade to a full carbon time trial bike. The frame set is in good condition with many hours of training and racing remaining in its aero tubes and the rear-facing Tektro brake set and BB 30 bottom bracket represent some of the latest features in time trial frame set design. The frame set is a blank slate on which the new owner can create a customized time trial bike. Built up with SRAM Red components, Vision aero bars and Zipp 808s tubulars, this frame set will become a very fast time trial bike that will inspire the new owner to reach a new level of performance in the race against the clock.
