Vintage early 70s Campagnolo Record Triple crank set 52T/48T/36T 170mm road strada
Frame and Wheel is auctioning an early 70s Nuovo Record Triple crank set on the Frame and Wheel ebay Store. The crank set is part of a collection of vintage components. The owner is selling the crank set because he no longer collects components and he is clearing out his basement of cycling equipment. The crank set features the Campagnolo shield logo, fluting on the crank arms and spider arms, Campagnolo chain rings and triple gearing. The crank set is in good condition. It is clean and ready for installation. The chain rings are not bent and the teeth are not cracked, bent or chipped. None of the chain ring bolts are missing. The crank arm threads are not stripped. The pedal threads are not stripped. The square holes for the axle are not rounded out. There is no wear on the teeth or on the crank arms. There are no scratches at the ends of the crank arms. Frame and Wheel notes the following. The crank arm  bolts and crank arm caps are missing. There is corrosion on the chain ring bolts. The chain ring bolts are very difficult to remove (Frame and Wheel was unable to unscrew one of them and thus unable to thoroughly clean the inner chain ring). There is corrosion in the drive side crank arm bolt hole. A very rare and unique component that will do well on a classic bicycle restoration project.
