2005 Guru Crono 53cm carbon time trial Dura-Ace 7800 HED Corsair bar Ciamillo brakes Zipp 808 10-spd triathlon
Frame and Wheel is auctioning a 2005 Guru Crono time trial bicycle on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The frame was purchased new directly from Guru in 2009 under a crash replacement program. It was built up with components from the original bike except for the base bar and extensions which were added in 2010. The bike as shown was raced in about ten time trials in California in 2010. It was used primarily on an indoor trainer in 2011. It has never been crashed and it has had only one owner. It has always been stored indoors and professionally maintained. The Zipp 808 wheel set was purchased new at Cyclemania in Portland, Maine in 2007. The owner is selling the bike because he is upgrading to a new time trial bike and he is switching from tubular wheels to carbon clinchers.
The bicycle features Shimano Dura-Ace 7800 10-speed derailleurs, crank set, bottom bracket, cassette and bar end shifters; HED Corsair dropped carbon base bar and S-bend extensions, Ciamillo Zero Gravity brakes, Apollo Components Tri-1 saddle, FSA OS150 stem, 54T Dura-Ace outside chain ring, Cane Creek head set and new white Lizard Skin bar tape. The frame set features Alpha Q GS 20 front fork and Guru aero seat post. The frame features aero ovalized down tube and top tube, aero seat tube, oversized bottom bracket, internal cabling, braze-on front derailleur, replaceable rear derailleur hanger, integrated headset and seat binder, semi-vertical drop outs and custom black on white paint finish. The serial number on the frame reads 501021. The serial number on the fork reads C166093. The bicycle as shown weighs 16 pounds 2 ounces (7.4 kg). The owner is 6 feet tall with an inseam of about 32 to 34 inches. New extra arm rest pads included. No pedals included. There are 190 detailed images of the bicycle at Frame and Wheel’s Flickr page. Please visit the Frame and Wheel website for more information about the service and the company.

Frame and Wheel conclusion
Frame and Wheel’s view is that this Guru Crono will make an excellent choice for the dedicated triathlete or road cyclist who seeks to upgrade to something that will seriously improve his or her times in the race against the clock. The bike is remarkably light for a time trial bike, the Zipp 808 wheels are fast and versatile and the bike is set up with time trial specific gearing. This Crono has a voice that speaks only of speed and this will inspire the new owner to achieve new levels of performance. A rare and excellent opportunity to obtain a very well appointed time trial frame at an excellent valuation.
