Frame and Wheel is auctioning a Cole C38CX carbon clincher disc wheel set on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The wheels were purchased new in 2012. They were mounted on a cyclocross bike. They were used for road riding. They were never raced. They were never crashed. They have had only one owner. The owner is selling the wheels because he no longer needs them. The wheels features carbon clincher rims, 38 mm rim depth, 19 mm rim width, 28 (F) / 28 (R) spoke count, Cole center lock disc brake hubs, Avid 160 mm rotors, Cole steel skewers, nude carbon finish, 10 speed free hub body and Cole durability. Review of condition
The wheels score a 96 percent on the Frame and Wheel Rating System. They are in very good condition. They are clean and ready to ride. The hubs spin smoothly and freely. The rims are round and true. There are no cracks, flaking, flexing or discoloration in the carbon rims. There are no cracks, flexing, flaking or discoloration in the carbon shells. The valve openings are unobstructed. There is no lateral or vertical variation in the rims when placed in a truing stand. There is no play in the hubs. There is no corrosion on the hubs. The spokes are tight and straight. There is no corrosion on the spokes. The skewers are straight and undamaged. There is no corrosion on the skewers. Frame and Wheel notes the following. There is a 1 mm x 5 mm scratch on the outside surface of the non drive side hub. There is a 2 mm x 7 mm abrasion around the valve opening on the rear rim. There is a 2 mm x 2 mm scratch on the “e” in Cole on the non drive side rim sticker. The free hub body shows wear from a cassette. The braking surfaces of the rotors show wear. There is old adhesive around the valve openings.
