2012 Wyndy Milla Big Gernaium 60cm XXL custom frame set road pink black white
Frame and Wheel is auctioning a 2012 Wyndy Milla Big Geranium frame set on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The frame set was custom ordered and purchased new directly from Wyndy Millah in early 2012. It was built up by the Wyndy Millah Pro Shop in Surrey, England. The owner used the bicycle for training in 2012. It has about 1,500 miles of use. It has never been crashed. The bicycle was also used as a display model at the Wyndy Milla Pro Shop and as a model bike for the website (please see image). The bicycle was parted out in September and the frame set placed in storage. The owner is selling the frame set because he has another bike to ride. The frame set features tall cyclist sizing, Wyndy Milla full carbon front fork, integrated seat mast, carbon seat post post, tapered head tube (1 1/8 inch to 1 1/2 inch), asymmetrcial top tube, oversized “trapezoid” down tube, aero seat tube with cutaway, flat seat stays with wishbone junction, oversized rectangular chain stays, Italian thread bottom bracket and distinctive and one of a kind pink / white / black Wyndy Milla finish. The frame set as pictured weighs 4 pounds 14 ounces (2.2 kg). The seat tube and top tube sizing numbers on the bottom bracket read 55 x 60.5. The serial number on the front fork reads 423517 1. Review of condition
The frame set is in very good condition. It is clean and ready for build. There are no cracks, bulges, discolorations, flexing or flaking that raise concerns about the structural integrity of the frame. The rear triangle is in alignment with the the centerline of the frame to within 0.5 mm (less than the width of a penny). The rear derailleur hanger is straight and undamaged. The chain stay cable stop is riveted securely and clear of obstructions. The barrel adjusters are riveted securely and working properly. There is no corrosion in the water bottle bolt holes. The bottom bracket shell is not damaged. The threads in the bottom bracket are not stripped or corroded. There are no cracks, bulges, discoloration, flexing or flaking that raise concerns about the structural integrity of the front fork. The crown race is not damaged. The cartridge bearings are not corroded or damaged. The cartridge bearings turn smoothly and the head set is complete. There are no cracks, bulges, discoloration, flexing or flaking that raise concerns about the structural integrity of the seat post. The seat clamp works properly and is complete.
Frame and Wheel notes the following. There are three 1 mm x 5 mm abrasions on the drive side top tube near the junction with the seat tube. There are five 1 mm x 4 mm abrasions on the drive side seat tube near the “W” in Wyndy. There is a 3 mm x 7 mm chip in the finish on the front top edge of the seat tube. There are two 4 mm x 10 mm chips in the finish on the inside of the drive side chain stay from the chain. There is one 4 mm x 15 mm chip in the finish on the inside of the drive side chain stay from the chain. There is a 5 mm x 15 mm abrasion on the side of the drive side chain stay near the cable stop. There is a 2 mm x 5 mm abrasion on the drive side down tube near the “W” in Wyndy. There is a 3 mm x 3 mm scratch in that “W”. There is a 3 mm x 3 mm abrasion on the drive side down tube near the second “y” in Wyndy. There is a 5 mm x 10 mm abrasion on the drive side head tube from cable housing rub. There is a 10 mm x 10 mm abrasion on the non drive side head tube from cable housing rub. There is a 0.5 mm x 80 mm abrasion in the aero cut out of the seat tube from road wear. There is 1 mm x 1 mm imperfection in the finish on the non drive side down tube near the “W” in Wyndy. There is wear around the brake mounts. There is wear around the dropouts. There is wear around the edges of the bottom bracket shell. There is no chain stay protector.
Frame and Wheel conclusion
Frame and Wheel’s view is that this frame set will make an excellent choice for the very tall dedicated road cyclist who seeks to upgrade to something very light and very stiff. The frame set is in very good condition and shows immaterial signs of wear. It is effectively new and has many unused hours of serious training and racing in it oversized and aero carbon tubes. Built up with a Campagnolo Super Record 11-speed group set, Campagnolo Bora Ultra Two tubular wheels and Cinelli integrated bar and stem, the bicycle will be very light and fast and it will have an irreverent and animated voice that channels the vibe of surf and skate culture, but belies its pure Anglo-Italian road racing spirit. The new owner will relish these qualities and derive additional satisfaction from knowing that this particular frame set has been the public face of the Big Gernaium line for 2012 and is the only one with this finish. An excellent and very rare opportunity to join the growing Wyndy Milla peleton.
