CompuTrainer Pro training system hardware software wheel block
Frame and Wheel is auctioning a CompuTrainer Pro stand alone training system on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The system was purchased new in 2007. It has had only one owner. It was used by the owner for training. The system is being sold because it is no longer needed. The system features CompuTrainer Pro electronic load generator, CompuTrainer Pro load generator stand, front wheel block, CompuTrainer Plus microprocessor handlebar controller and bracket, cadence sensor with velcro strap and magnet; ten foot DIN cable, fifteen foot right angle stereo cable, Wireless Heart Rate sensor, CompuTrainer Stand Alone Users Guide (July 2007), CompuTrainer 3D Software Users Guide (July 2007), CompuTrainer Coaching Software Users Guide (July 2007), CompuTrainer 3D with Drag Factor software, CompuTrainer Race Platform Plans, Wireless Heart Rate Receiver sheet, Velcro Cadence Attachment sheet, and CompuTrainer Insert Me First CD-ROM. The electronic load generator and stand weighs 23 pounds. The serial number on the electronic load generator reads 29738LG. The serial number on the microprocessor reads 29323HB. Wireless heart rate strap not included. USB to serial adapter not included. PC interface not included. The new owner can download for free the original 3D software from RacerMate’s website. A new version is available for purchase. Review of condition
Frame and Wheel set up the CompuTrainer system in Stand Alone mode and tested all of its functions to ensure that it works properly. Frame and Wheel did not connect the CompuTrainer to a PC. Frame and Wheel does not have a compatible heart rate sensor chest strap and thus is unable to test the heart rate function. The CompuTrainer is in good condition. It is clean and ready for use. The electronic load generator produces resistance and powers up properly. The drum on the load generator is not damaged. The casing of the load generator is not damaged. The CompuTrainer Pro stand adjusts properly and is not corroded. The connection pins on the cables are not damaged or corroded. The microprocessor display works properly and cycles through its various pages properly. The Stand Alone modes (Rolling Resistance Calibration, Ergometer Mode and General Exercise mode) all function properly. The cadence sensor works properly. All of the instruction manuals are included. Frame and Wheel notes the following. There is a 5 mm x 15 mm scratch on the upper left side of the microprocessor screen. The casing of the power supply adapter was cracked and is reinforced with electrical tape. The original crank arm magnet is missing and is replaced with a wheel magnet. One of the plastic end covers for the load generator stand is broken. The CompuTrainer Pro stand is missing its adjustable feet as it was attached to a RacerMate race platform.
Frame and Wheel conclusion
Frame and Wheel’s view is that this CompuTrainer Pro will make an excellent choice for the cyclist or triathlete who seeks a dedicated indoor training system that uses software to provide entertaining and productive video workouts. The system is in good condition and ready for use. The system is compact, relatively quiet and allows for the use of an existing road bike. It can also be used as a “stand-alone” trainer that measures watts, heart rate, speed and distance. The new owner will quickly discover how challenging and productive training on a CompuTrainer can be and will no doubt notice the improvements in performance. A fine opportunity to obtain an excellent training tool.
