Shimano Ultegra BR-6600 dual pivot brake front

Sold: $16.00
Shimano Ultegra BR-6600 dual pivot front brake
Frame and Wheel is auctioning a Shimano Ultegra BR-6600 dual pivot front brake on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The brake was taken off of a road bike and has been in storage for a while. The owner is selling the brake as part of an initiative to clear out his inventory of cycling equipment. The brake is being sold as is. The brake is in good condition. It is clean and the brake arms pivot properly. The cable adjusting bolt unit works fine and there is no corrosion on the bolt. The quick release works fine and the original cable fixing bolt is in place. The original pivot nut and spacer are included. The brake pads are fresh with about 4 mm of brake pad on the wear indicator. Frame and Wheel notes the following: there is corrosion on the pivot bolt. Frame and Wheel's view is that this is a perfectly good brake system that will make a nice upgrade or retro fit for a special bike. An excellent deal in the making.

2011 3T ARX Pro aluminum stem 110 mm

Sold: $38.00
2011 3T ARX Pro aluminum stem 110 mm
Frame and Wheel is auctioning a 3T ARX Pro aluminum stem 110 mm on the Frame and Wheel eBay store. The stem was purchased new earlier this year and installed on a performance road bike. The stem was used on three rides before it was switched out. The previous owner is selling the stem because he no longer has a use for it. The stem is in very good condition. It is clean and there are no scratches or dents or any signs of wear. The face plate is not cracked, the bolts are not stripped and there is no corrosion on the bolts or in the bolt holes. The original bolts and washers are included. The stem is being sold as is. Frame and Wheel’s view is that this is an excellent opportunity to obtain a high quality and effectively unused alloy stem at a steep discount to the retail price. The stem is designed for carbon steerer tubes and carbon handlebars and of course goes well with 3T carbon bars. It is 30 grams heavier than its flashy sibling (ARX Team) but the value obtained in this transaction will make up for that.
Specifications
Length: 110 mm
Rise: 73 or 84 degrees
Material” Aluminum 2010
Weight: 130 g
Finish: black
Steer tube diameter: 1 1/8 inch
Bar clamp diameter: 31.8 mm

Time Avant Stiff carbon fiber front fork

Sold: $68.00
Time Avant Stiff carbon front fork
Frame and Wheel is auctioning a Time Avant Stiff carbon fiber front fork on the Frame and Wheel eBay store. The fork was purchased new about five years ago and was originally mounted on a 2005 Obrea. The fork was ridden for two seasons and never crashed. It was switched out when the owner sold the Obrea. It has been in storage ever since. The owner is selling the fork because he no longer rides frequently and he is clearing out his inventory of cycling gear. The fork features full carbon steer tube, alloy drop outs and exceptional lateral stiffness. The fork weighs 410 grams. The steer tube has been cut and is 237 mm (9.5 inches) long measured from the crown. The crown race is included and the star nut is included. There are 20 images of the fork at Frame and Wheel eBay Selling Services and on Facebook at Frame and Wheel. Please take a look. The fork is being sold as is.
Review of condition
The fork is in good condition with only light signs of wear. There are no cracks, fissures or bulges in the steer tube or the blades. There is very little wear on the underside of the crown. The tabs on the drop out are intact. Frame and Wheel notes the following. There are six light horizontal scratches about 10 mm in length on the inside of the left blade. There is a vertical scratch about 40 mm in length on the inside of left blade. There are markings around the front brake bolt hole. The white graphics have faded to a creamy white. The crown race does not remain pressed onto the crown and thus Frame and Wheel cannot be sure that this is the original race. Frame and Wheel cleaned and inspected this fork carefully, but cannot guarantee that all imperfections have been spotted.
Frame and Wheel conclusion
This fork is stiff and strong and will make a great upgrade for a cyclocross bike. It is in good condition and still full of many hours of riding.

Sold: $38.00
2011 Deda Elementi Zero100 Servizio Corse 120mm stem
Frame and Wheel is auctioning a 2011 Deda Elementi Zero100 Servizio Corse 120 mm stem on the Frame and Wheel eBay store. This stem was purchased new earlier this year and mounted on a performance road bike. The build was never completed and thus the stem has never been ridden. This stem was previously paired with the Deda Elementi Zero100 alloy handlebars 42 cm (c-c) that are simultaneously being auctioned on the Frame and Wheel eBay store. The previous owner is selling the stem because he no longer rides frequently and he is clearing out his inventory of cycling gear. The stem features a four bolt handlebar clamp, aluminum alloy construction and a distinctive white finish. The stem is in very good condition. It is clean and there are no scratches on the finish. The face plate is not cracked, all the original bolts and washers are included and none of the bolts are stripped. There is no corrosion in the bolts or in the bolt holes. Frame and Wheel notes that there is some light wear on the base and the top of the steerer tube clamp collar. Frame and Wheel’s view is that this is an excellent opportunity to obtain a very high quality and very long, but unridden Deda stem for a substantial discount to retail price. It will go well with the Deda Zero100 RHM handlebar also on auction at the Frame and Wheel eBay Store or any other handlebar set.
Specifications

2011 Deda Elementi Zero100 alloy handlebars white 42 cm

Sold: $13.00
2011 Deda Elementi Zero100 Alloy Handlebars 42cm (c-c) white
Frame and Wheel is bringing to market on the Frame and Wheel eBay store a 2011 Deda Elementi Zero100 alloy handlebar set. The previous owner purchased the handlebars new earlier this year and mounted them on a performance road racing bike. However, the build was never completed and thus the handle bars have never been ridden. The owner is selling the handlebars because he no longer rides frequently and he is clearing out his inventory of cycling accessories and components. The handlebars feature the Rapid Hand Movement (RHM) concept (which Frame and Wheel understands to be a design that results in a shallower drop and shorter reach than traditional round bars); compatibility with clip-on aero bar extensions, ergonomic handlebar top, rough surfacing at the top of the drops to reduce slippage of the brake mounts, grooves on the bottom of the handlebar top for running cables under the bar tape and the distinctive white finish. They are compatible with 31.8 mm clamps. The serial number on the end of the left bar end reads 8048Z. Please note that a 2011 Deda Zero100 Servizio Corse stem (120 mm) is being simultaneously but separately auctioned on the Frame and Wheel eBay store. This stem was mounted on this handlebar set. There are 29 images of the handlebars at Frame and Wheel eBay Selling Services and on Facebook at Frame and Wheel. Please take a look. The handlebars are being sold as is.
Review of condition
The handlebars are in good condition. They are clean and there are no bends or dents in the handlebar top or the drops. Frame and Wheel notes the following. There are impressions in the paint on the handlebar top remaining from the handle bar clamp. There is a 3 x 4 mm chip in the paint on the center of the handlebar top. There is a 3 x 2 mm bulge in the finish on the center of the handlebar top. There is a 3 x 5 mm and a 2 x 2 mm chip in the paint on the underside center of the handlebar top. There is a 1 x 10 mm blemish on the underside of the right handlebar top. There is a 2 x 3 mm chip at the base of the right outward facing side handlebar drop. There are marks at the top of the drops from brake mounts. There are small chips in the paint around the bar ends. Frame and Wheel carefully inspected these handlebars, but cannot guarantee that every imperfection has been spotted.
Frame and Wheel conclusion
These handlebars will suit the rider who prefers the traditional round bend and seeks shallow drops. They are not as light as carbon handlebars, but their alloy construction means that they are strong and durable. The white finish adds a distinctive Italian flair and they will go well with a Deda Zero 100 Servizio Corsa stem. This is an excellent opportunity to obtain a very nice and unridden set of handle bars at an excellent valuation.

Frame and Wheel eBay selling services completes 100 transactions

Frame and Wheel recently completed 100 selling transactions on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. Feedback is 100% positive and Frame and Wheel is very pleased with this result. Frame and Wheel believes that the reason for the positive feedback is as follows: 1) The item is always described in great detail. Frame and Wheel will write extensively about the item and create as many as 100 images of the item. Frame and Wheel cleans the item and during that process actively seeks out blemishes or faults that will disappoint the buyer or affect the value of the item.  2) Frame and Wheel ships in one business day. This means that the item is already packaged and the costs are known before the auction starts. 3) Frame and Wheel carefully packages the item. Frame and Wheel wraps entire bicycles and frames in bubble wrap and carefully packages them in strong boxes. Frame and Wheel uses new custom made boxes for high value carbon frames. 4) Frame and Wheel communicates with the buyer. This means promptly responding to shipping and technical questions. 5) Finally, Frame and Wheel almost always uses a no reserve auction or an auction with a reasonable reserve price. eBay buyers seem to prefer the value opportunity created by an auction and they do not seem to react favorably to a price dictated by the seller. Frame and Wheel notes that two transactions were complex, but in both cases, Frame and Wheel resolved the issue by working out the problem with the buyer. Frame and Wheel also appreciates that no one is perfect and that to keep a 100% positive rating will be hard over the long term. Nevertheless, Frame and Wheel will do what it can to keep both its buyers and sellers satisfied with the service. Frame and Wheel thanks its buyers and sellers for their business so far and looks forward to helping cyclists and IBD turn unused cycling equipment into cash.

2004 Zipp disc wheel 700c tubular carbon

Sold $530

Circa 2004 Zipp disc wheel 700c tubular carbon

Frame and Wheel is bringing to market a circa 2004 Zipp carbon tubular disc wheel 700c on the Frame and Wheel eBay store. This wheel features the dimpled surface and the red and white stickers. Frame and Wheel obtained this wheel second hand in 2006 and has used it for time trials and on a trainer indoors. The wheel has about 400 hours of all weather racing and indoor training on it. It was used on a Cervelo P3 and it worked fine with that bike. Frame and Wheel is selling this wheel because it soon or immediately needs new bearings and a new free hub body in order for it to operate at its optimal level. Frame and Wheel is no longer willing to invest in this wheel. There are 30 images of the wheel at Frame and Wheel eBay Selling Services and on Facebook at Frame and Wheel. Please take a look. The wheel is being sold as is.
Review of condition
The wheel is in good condition. It is clean and ready to ride. It is true and round and there are no cracks or flaking in the rim. There are no holes or dents in the surface of the wheel. Frame and Wheel notes the following. Six of the nine splines on the free hub body have three notches 2 mm in depth from the cassette. These notches (unless filed down) prevent the removal of the cassette spacer. The hubs spin well enough, but the pawls are loud and there is a scratchiness and a reluctance to the feel of the spin of the hubs. There is a 60 mm x 30 mm imprint from the adhesive used to fix the magnet for a road computer to the non drive side of the wheel about 100 mm from the edge of the rim. There is some glue on the rim from the tubular tires. The opening for the valve stem on the non drive side of the wheel was enlarged by Frame and Wheel in 2011. Frame and Wheel carefully inspected this wheel, but cannot guarantee that every imperfection has been spotted.
Frame and Wheel conclusion
This is a great disc wheel that will suit the entry level time trial cyclist or triathlete who seeks the benefit of an aerodynamic rear wheel, but is not prepared to pay the premium for a new one. Although the bearings and the free hub body will need some work to ensure optimal performance, the rims and the wheel are in good and operable condition. Frame and Wheel believes that this is a rare and excellent opportunity to obtain a perfectly good disc wheel at a fraction of the retail price. The new owner will notice and relish the difference that a disc wheel makes, and will be able to use the savings to obtain a deep dish front wheel or some other essential accessory.
