Frame and Wheel is auctioning a 2007 Zipp 900 Disc tubular wheel on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The wheel was purchased new at Cyclemania in Portland, Maine in 2007. The wheel was used for racing only. It has never been crashed. The wheel has been in storage for the past year. The wheel features ABLC dimpled surface, 20 mm rim width, Zipp 182 hub, Zipp skewer, installed Shimano free hub body and white on red stickers. The wheel as shown weighs 2 pounds and 4 ounces (1.02 kg). The serial number on the rim reads 109867. No Zipp decals for valve hole included. Review of condition

The wheel is in good condition. It is clean and ready to ride. There is no cracking, flexing, discoloration or flaking in the rim. There are no dents, punctures or scratches in the surface of the wheel. The wheel is true and round. The hub spins freely and the pawls are not loud. There is no play in the hub. The stickers are on securely. Frame and Wheel notes the following. There is 1 mm by 3 mm crack at the top of drive side valve opening. The splines on the Shimano free hub body show notch marks from a cassette. There is corrosion on the hub flanges. There is a 5 mm x 5 mm circle of dry adhesive on the non drive side of the wheel from a magnet. There is a 25 mm x 5 mm blemish on the non drive side from glue. There is a 3 mm x 5 mm blemish from glue near it. The braking surfaces show light wear. There is a light blemish in the “I” in one of the Zipp decals on the non drive side of the wheel. There is a light layer of old glue on the rim.

Frame and Wheel’s view is that this wheel is the perfect solution for the cyclist who seeks to seriously improve his or her time trial performances. The wheel is light, it is aerodynamic and it makes a noticeable difference when set up on a time trial bicycle. The wheel is in good condition and with proper preparation it is ready to be glued up with a time trial tire and turned loose on the road. The new owner of this wheel will relish the distinctive sound that a disc wheel makes when at speed and the new voice it provides to any time trial bicycle. An excellent opportunity to obtain a lightly used disc wheel that will inspire higher levels of commitment and dedication to mastering the race against the clock.
