2009 Time RXR Ulteam Campy Super Record 11-Spd Easton EC90 tubulars CycleOps Wireless Power Tap SL+
Frame and Wheel is auctioning a 2009 Time RXR Ulteam carbon frame set size large built up with Campagnolo Super Record 11-speed and Easton EC90 carbon tubular aero wheels on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The bicycle was purchased new in early 2009 at Pista Palace in San Diego. It has three seasons of racing (ten criteriums and one road race) and training in California and New England. It has been used lightly in 2011. It has never been involved in a crash during a race or a ride. The finish on the right front fork blade was damaged when the owner was forced into a guard rail by a car in March 2010. Time confirmed that there was no structural damage to the front fork. The owner had the fork repainted at Calfee Design. The damage from this incident is not visible even upon close inspection. The owner is 6 feet tall and about 175 pounds.
The bicycle has always been stored in doors and transported inside a car. It has been professionally and meticulously maintained at Cyclemania in Portland, Maine. It was tuned up at the beginning of 2011. The current owner is the only owner of this bicycle. He is selling it because he would like to consolidate resources towards the operation of another high performance racing bicycle. The bicycle features Campagnolo Super Record 11-Speed component group, Easton EC90 carbon tubular aero wheels with a CycleOps Wireless Power Tap SL+ hub, Specialized Toupe Ti143 saddle, carbon Time Monolink Ulteam stem, Time Ergoforce carbon bars with Lizard Skin tape and Time water bottle cages. The frame features integrated aero seat tube, QUICKSET headset that allows the head set to be adjusted independently of stem adjustments, adjustable alloy front derailleur hanger for compact and standard cranks, asymmetrical chain stays, full carbon tubes, lugs and bottom bracket shell, full carbon front fork with tapered steer tube, carbon seat cradle, and distinctive white/red black finish.
The bicycle as shown weighs 15 pounds 6 ounces. The serial number on the inside of the non-drive seat stay is illegible. The serial number on the front fork reads 0646173. Continental Sprinters are new in 2011 and the Campagnolo Record 11 chain has only three months of use. The batteries in the CycleOps hub are new. A magnet for a sensor is included. No pedals included. There are over 150 images of the bicycle at Frame and Wheel eBay Selling Services and on Facebook at Frame and Wheel. Please take a look. The bicycle is being sold as is.
Review of condition
The bicycle is in very good condition and shows only light wear. It is clean and ready to ride. The shifting is smooth and complete in all twenty-two gears. The brakes work fine and there is about 3 mm of pad left on the brake pad wear indicators. The wheels are true and round and the hubs spin freely and smoothly. There is no lateral play in the hubs. The spokes are straight and tight. The braking surfaces show light wear. The tires hold pressure and are glued on firmly and neatly.
There are no cracks, bulges or flaking in the finish of the frame or any faults that raise questions about the structural integrity of the frame. The front and rear forks are in alignment with the the centerline of the frame and the rear derailleur hanger is straight and undamaged. The front derailleur hanger is securely attached to the seat tube and undamaged. There is no play in the bottom bracket. There is no corrosion in the bolts on the stem, the seat post or the water bottle cage mounts. The chain does not read 0.75 or 1.0 on the chain wear tool.
Frame and Wheel notes the following: there is a 1 x 20 mm chip on the top of the drive side bottom bracket shell and three 2 x 3 mm chips on the bottom of the drive side down tube from a dropped chain. There is a 3 x 4 mm chip on the front of the head tube (near the T in Time). There is a 1 x 35 mm abrasion on the edge of drive side top tube. There are four 1 x 1 mm chips in the finish on the bottom of the down tube. There is a 1 x 1 mm chip on the leading edge of the non drive side seat stay.
There is a 5 mm crack in the cable housing for the rear derailleur. There are abrasions at the top of the integrated seat tube and on the seat post clamp from a saddle bag. There are abrasions on the non drive chain stay from a sensor. There are abrasions on the back of the seat tube in the cut away section from road grit. There is wear on the back of the seat tube under the front derailleur cable. There is a 2 x 20 mm abrasion on the right rear edge of the saddle and a 2 x 5 mm abrasion on the left rear edge of the saddle. There is wear on the frame guards and the cable housing where the two rub against each other. There is wear under the crown of front fork. There is wear around the rear drop outs. Some of the lettering on the rear brake caliper has rubbed off. The finish on the teeth of the chain rings has worn off. The handle bar tape has lost some of its whiteness along the tops.
There is 4 x 20 mm chip and a 1 x 5 mm scratch on the side of the front rim near the valve extender. There is a 1 x 35 mm abrasion on the drive side of the rear rim. There is a 5 x 15 mm scratch on the flange of the front skewer. There are two 1 x 3 mm nicks on the tread of the rear tire. There is 1 x 3 mm nick in the tread of the front tire. Frame and Wheel carefully inspected this frame, but cannot guarantee that every imperfection has been spotted.

Important shipping details
The frame and the wheels are packaged in three separate boxes, but shipped as a single shipment. The shipping cost shown is only for the box that contains the frame. It does not include the wheel boxes (the eBay system cannot calculate shipping costs for two separate boxes). Frame and Wheel will invoice the winning bidder the correct shipping. It will likely be more than what is shown in the shipping calculator, but not by much. For example, to send the three boxes to Santa Monica from Maine costs $193.00 ($173.00 using Fed Ex Ground plus $20.00 Frame and Wheel product analysis and service). Frame and Wheel takes the trouble to carefully and properly package the bicycle and have it ready to go at the end of the auction.
Frame and Wheel encourages international buyers to open an account with freight forwarder Ship It To (USA Address & Mail Forwarding). This service will lower your shipping costs significantly. Otherwise, Frame and Wheel ships internationally using UPS Air Freight Consolidated. International buyers please contact Frame and Wheel with city and zip code. Please pay by Pay Pal and please pay promptly.
These are the dimensions of the boxes so that buyers can get a better sense of their shipping costs
