Frame and Wheel ships electric, recumbent and tandem bikes

Frame and Wheel provides its ebay auction services to customers who want to sell electric bikes, recumbent bikes and tandem bikes. These bikes require a pallet to ship, and because of their size and weight, they must use freight service. The palletized Ultramotor A2B Metro pictured below weighs 168 pounds and ships on a framed heat treated pallet (for international shipping) designed and built by Gerrity Industries of Leeds, Maine. The crate was wrapped in stretch wrap, which is industrial strength Saran wrap. This covering keeps the bike dry, protects the bike and also allows the fork lift drivers to see the item and to thus be a bit more careful. The bike is strapped down to the pallet using ratchet straps,
Frame and Wheel uses a full size pick up to deliver the palletized bike to the freight depot. This requires help from at least one other person who is capable of doing some heavy lifting. The pallet is strapped down to the bed of the truck using ratchet straps and bungi cords. Using a pick up and a friend saves a lot on shipping costs for the buyer. Frame and Wheel is pleased to offer this service to individuals or bike shops who want to offer their electric, recumbent or tandem bikes to a world wide market. The bike below sold for $970 to a buyer in New Jersey.

Frame and Wheel enters FedEx Small Business Grant contest. Hope...Change...The Internet of Bikes.

Frame and Wheel, Inc. provides value-added eBay auction services to individual cyclists and bike shops and markets Austro-Daimler racing bicycles worldwide. The company was founded in 2010. Frame and Wheel’s primary mission is to use the knowledge gained from the auction service and the Austro-Daimler brand restoration to develop an Internet of Bikes business model that will revolutionize how cyclists pay for use and dispose of cycling equipment.
Frame and Wheel is an example of how a one person corporation can compete globally using local networks, social media and multinational organizations such as FedEx, eBay, Pay Pal and Skype. Frame and Wheel is an example of the economic success and emotional satisfaction that can be achieved by combining your passion with your skills, providing professional and excellent service, treating your customers like individual people, selling to international markets and thinking outside the box.
Frame and Wheel will use grant proceeds to retain information technology professionals to develop an Internet of Bikes Pilot Program, invest in re-useable boxes for shipping bicycles, wheels and frame sets, and provide working capital for the growth of the business.
