Look LDS Pro 3 carbon road fork

Look LDS Pro 3 carbon front fork road
Frame and Wheel is auctioning a Look LDS Pro 3 carbon front fork on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The owner purchased the fork new on eBay and never installed it or used it. The owner is selling because he is cleaning out the cycling equipment in his basement. The fork features oversized front fork blades, 1 1/8 inch diameter alloy steer tube, alloy drop outs and original technical specifications paperwork. The serial number reads LDSPRO3. No crown race or expander bolt is included. The fork is being sold as is.
Important information about the fork
Frame and Wheel auctioned this fork earlier this month and incorrectly described it as having a one inch steer tube. In fact, it has a 1 1/ 8 inch steer tube. Additionally, Frame and Wheel was unable to identify the model during the first auction, but has done so since then: it is a LDS Pro 3 front fork. The winner of the previous auction was looking for a front fork with a one inch diameter steer tube and was thus unable to use this fork. Additionally, he was not comfortable with the 1 x 40 mm scratch around the front brake bolt hole, and considered it to be more of a crack than a scratch. Frame and Wheel believed in good faith at the time of the first listing that the scratch was a superficial scratch, but appreciates the buyer’s opinion and recommends that potential buyers examine the images of the scratch carefully and consider this information. Frame and Wheel notes that there is now something loose inside the fork blades that makes noise when the fork is shaken. As a result, Frame and Wheel is downgrading its rating on this fork to fair from good, previously.
Review of condition
The fork is in fair condition. There is a 1 x 40 mm scratch around the front brake bolt hole that one buyer considered to be more of a crack rather than a scratch. There is a 1 x 10 mm scratch on the following edge of the right fork blade. There is something loose inside the fork blades that makes noise when the fork is shaken. Otherwise, there is no flaking or bulges in the fork blades. The steer tube is not bent. There is no wear under the fork crown, on the drop outs or around the front brake bolt hole. There is no corrosion on the drop outs or the steer tube. Frame and Wheel carefully inspected this item, but cannot guarantee that every imperfection has been spotted.
Frame and Wheel conclusion
Frame and Wheel’s view is that although this fork is still functional, it has an unknown back ground and there are uncertainties about its condition. This should be factored into the price. The fork will suit the experienced cyclist who is attentive to maintenance and monitors the condition of his gear and who plans to use this fork lightly until its ability to perform is known.

4ZA Python carbon front fork cyclocross

Sold: $147.50
4ZA Python carbon front fork cyclocross
Frame and Wheel is auctioning a 4ZA Python carbon cyclocross front fork on the Frame and Wheel eBay store. The fork is used and was originally mounted on a Ridley Crosswinds cyclocross bicycle. The fork has been in storage for the past few years. The owner is selling it because he does not use it and he is clearing out unused cycling equipment from his basement. The fork features carbon steer tube and fork blades, alloy drop outs and three position brake mounts. The serial number on the tube reads 1943740 85. No tabs. Crown race is installed. Expander bolt included. The fork is being sold as is.
Review of condition
The fork is in good condition. There are no cracks, chips or flaking in the finish of the fork blades. There are no cracks, notches or color changes in the steer tube. The brake pivots are straight and securely mounted. There is no wear under crown. The crown race is smooth and horizontally and firmly installed. There is no corrosion on the drop outs, the crown race or the brake pivots. Frame and Wheel notes the following: the drop outs show wear. The steer tube has been cut. Frame and Wheel carefully inspected this item, but cannot guarantee that every imperfection has been spotted.
Frame and Wheel conclusion
Frame and Wheel’s view is that this is very light cyclocross front fork that still has many hours of racing and riding left in it. The fork will make an excellent upgrade to an existing bike or could function as a spare front fork for the A or B bike. A great opportunity to obtain a light fork ant a light price.
