Frame and Wheel is auctioning an HED Jet 6 FR wheel set on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The wheels were purchased new in 2011. They were used for training. The wheels have never been crashed. They have had only one owner. The owner is selling the wheels because he no longer needs them. The wheels features aluminum alloy clincher rims, 62 mm rim depth, 23 mm rim width, 18 (F) / 24 (R) spoke count, HED Flamme Rouge Sonic hubs, HED steel skewers, nude carbon finish, HED Jet design and “Made in the USA” provenance. The wheels as shown weighs 4 pounds 4 ounces (2.0 kg). The serial numbers read 0211-207 (F) and 0211-206 (R). Ships in custom wheel boxes. Review of condition
The wheels are in good condition. They are clean and ready to ride. The hubs spin smoothly and freely. The rims are round and true. There are no dents in the rims. There is no lateral or vertical variation in the rims when placed in a truing stand. There are no cracks, flexing, flaking or discoloration in the carbon shells. The aluminum alloy rims are bonded securely to the carbon shells. The valve openings are undamaged and unobstructed. There is no play in the hubs. There is no corrosion on the hubs. There is no corrosion on the rims. The skewers are straight and undamaged. There is no corrosion on the skewers. Frame and Wheel notes the following. There is a 1 mm x 7 mm abrasion on the edge of the front rim. There is a 2 mm x 2 mm tear in one of the rear drive side HED. stickers. There is a 3 mm x 5 mm abrasion on one of the rear non drive side HED stickers. There is a 2 mm x 7 mm red mark on one of the front HED stickers. The leading edge of one of the HED stickers on the front wheel is peeling back. The free hub body shows wear from a cassette. The braking surfaces of the rims show wear. The skewer ends show wear.
