The wheels were mounted on a classic road bike and were used less than a dozen times. They have never been crashed. The owner is selling the wheels because the bike was sold and he is clearing out his basement of cycling equipment. The wheel set features Champion Super Competition alloy tubular rims, Campagnolo Super Record hubs with conical skewer ends and steel axles, Veloflex Criterium tubular tires and a Regina 6 speed freewheel. The skewers are straight and working properly. There are no dents or bends in the rims or the walls of the wheel. The hub flanges are not cracked. There is no play in the hubs. There is no corrosion on the nipples or on the hubs. The threads on the freewheel are not stripped. The freewheel cogs are not bent, chipped or broken. The treads on the tires are fresh and the side walls are not cracked. The tires hold pressure and are securely glued to the rims. Frame and Wheel notes the following. There are scratches on the braking surfaces of the rims. The Champion sticker on the rear rim is peeling off. There is some glue on the rims. Frame and Wheel’s view is that these Champion Super Competition wheels will make an excellent finishing touch for a classic bike restoration project.
