Frame and Wheel is offering a Lightweight Standard tubular wheel set on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The wheels feature carbon tubular rims, aero carbon spokes, 20 spoke count (F/R), 52 mm rim depth, 20 mm rim width, Lightweight carbon front hub, DT Swiss 240 rear hub (Campagnolo), 1-cross lacing, laminated computer magnet, Lightweight titanium front skewer, white Lightweight lettering, extraordinarily light weight and Lightweight engineering cool. The wheels as shown weigh 2 pounds 8 ounces (1.1 kg). No rear skewer. Lightweight pads, valve extenders and wheel bag included. There are 60 images of the wheel set at Frame and Wheel’s Flickr page. Review of condition
The wheels are in good condition. They are clean and they are ready to ride. The hubs spin smoothly and freely. The spokes are secured firmly into the rim and the hubs. There are no cracks, nicks or chips on the spokes. The spokes cross securely. The wheels are round. There is no vertical or horizontal variation in the front wheel when placed in a truing stand. There are no cracks, flexing or flaking in the carbon rims or the carbon shell. There are no cracks in the carbon hub bodies. There are no cracks in the carbon hub flanges. There are no cracks in the carbon plates that cover the flanges. There is no play in the hubs. There is no corrosion on the axles or on the skewers. The valve openings are not damaged or blocked. Frame and Wheel notes the following. The braking surfaces of the rear rim are elevated because they were refurbished by Lightweight. There is a light layer of glue on the rims. The free hub body shows light wear from a cassette. The braking surfaces of the rims show light wear.
11-speed upgrade
The rear hub is DT-Swiss 240 and thus the Campagnolo free hub body can be switched out to Shimano / SRAM 10-speed using a DT-Swiss free hub body replacement kit. The hub can accommodate a DT-Swiss 11-speed free hub body. However, the wheel will run about 1.5 mm off center and may create a clearance issue for frame sets with oversized chain stays or aero seat tubes. It will not affect performance. Frame and Wheel is informed that many upgrades to 11-speed have been carried out on the Lightweight Standard without any problems.
